The Big Bash Scotland with the stars of Emmerdale

The event with the stars of Emmerdale is over and we could not have asked for a better day, weather was lovely and the businesses of Inverurie put in so much effort to make the day a success. The square was buzzing with music and stalls and the queues to get in to the shops to meet the stars were all huge. Nothing was too much trouble for the cast, who enjoyed themselves thoroughly and a lifetime of memories were created for many, many fans of the soap. One cast member commented on feeling very humbled by the amount of people who came out to see them.

It will be a while before there is a final total raised and one major event, the Wing Walk which had to be postponed due to winds over the weekend, has still to take place.

Many thanks to George Walker Events and Inverurie Bid for co-ordinating everything. Thank you to all the volunteers who kept the cast and public safe, to everyone who came along to the various events that took place throughout the whole day and to all who attended the Ball at The Chester Hotel, a good time was had by all.
